FAQs

What sets Bhutanova Travels apart from other travel agencies?

We are a Thimphu-based, locally owned team. Every guide is licensed and Bhutanese, every itinerary is designed in-house, and we put a share of each booking back into the villages you visit — in line with Gross National Happiness.

What types of tours does Bhutanova Travels offer?

We offer a diverse range of tours tailored to suit various interests, including cultural tours, festival journeys, treks, luxury escapes and family-friendly holidays. Whether you're a solo traveler, a couple or a group, we have something for everyone.

How do I book a tour with Bhutanova Travels?

Pick a package (or ask for a custom one), send us an enquiry, and we'll confirm dates and a quote within 24 hours. Once you pay the deposit we apply for your visa, book flights and hotels, and send you a full travel pack.

Can Bhutanova Travels arrange accommodation and transportation during my trip?

Yes. All packages include tourism-certified hotels, a private vehicle with driver, and a licensed guide. We can also book Drukair or Bhutan Airlines flights into Paro.

Is Bhutan safe for travelers?

Bhutan is one of the safest countries in Asia, with very low crime. The main things to plan for are altitude on mountain passes and winding roads — your guide will pace the trip accordingly.

What should I pack for a trip to Bhutan?

Layers, a rain jacket, comfortable walking shoes, and modest clothing (long sleeves and long trousers or skirt) for visiting dzongs and temples. See our full packing list in the Travel Guide.
