How to Book a Bhutan Tour

Last reviewed · Bhutanova Travels

Booking a trip to Bhutan is simpler than most people expect. Here’s how it works with us.

1. Choose a package or ask for a custom trip

Browse our tour packages or tell us your dates, interests and budget. We reply to every enquiry within 24 hours.

2. Confirm your itinerary and quote

We send a day-by-day itinerary with a clear price breakdown: daily Sustainable Development Fee (SDF), hotels, guide, vehicle and meals.

3. Pay a deposit

A deposit secures your hotels and flights. The balance is due before arrival. We accept bank transfer and card payments.

4. We apply for your visa

With a scan of your passport, a recent photo and your travel insurance, we apply for your visa online through the Department of Immigration. Approval usually arrives within five working days.

5. Book flights into Paro

Only Drukair and Bhutan Airlines fly into Paro. We can book seats for you — useful because flights fill up in festival season.

6. Arrive and enjoy

Your guide meets you at arrivals with your visa, a khadar (white scarf) and a big smile.

Tip: Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) book out early. Enquire at least 3 months ahead for festival dates.
